Society founded in 1957 and dedicated to research and preservation of records. Meets monthly every month except December on the last Tuesday evening of each month.  Meets in the Central branch of the Fort Worth Public Library (downtown). Publishes the quarterly, Footprints, with interests in Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, and the territory of old Northwest Texas.

Grand Prairie Genealogical Society
The Grand Prairie Genealogical Society is located in the heart of the Dallas/Ft.Worth Metroplex. We are an Educational and Cultural organization whose purpose is the fostering of education in genealogical research, encouraging new interest in research and compiling, collecting and encouraging the preservation of research materials.
