  meets the first Friday of the month at the Lebanon Public Library, 626 Second Ave., Lebanon. Our Genealogy Room holds a vast amount of historical and genealogical information on Linn County, Oregon.    patd@proaxis.com
    
• Linn Genealogical Society
  For over 30 years the Linn Genealogical Society has helped to preserve Linn County's historical and genealogical information, artifacts and locations for the benefit of the community. At its monthly meetings it hosts speakers on genealogical topics, local and regional history, research  techniques and much more. These events are offered to the public at no charge.  The Society publishes an informative monthly newsletter ("The Heritage Newsletter") containing articles of interest to historians and family researchers. The Society also sponsors numerous classes, projects and activities related to Linn County history and genealogy, as well as genealogical and historical research in general.

• Genealogical Society of Washington County Oregon
  Meetings are open to the public held on the second Thursday each month.   There are two social meetings, a picnic in the summer, and a Christmas social in December. Meetings also include informative speakers and information.  A publication, The GeneaLog is printed quarterly.  The Society sponsors a Pioneer Certificate Program to include direct lineage from a person or family that arrived and settled in  Washington County Oregon before statehood,  February 14, 1859.   Projects include the preservation and printing of Vital Records of the County.
