• Central Louisiana Genealogical Society  was formed to preserve genealogical and historical information relative to the parishes of Allen, Avoyelles, Catahoula, Concordia, Evangeline, Grant, LaSalle, Natchitoches, Rapides, Sabine, Vernon, and Winn. The purpose of the society is to gather, process, and preserve genealogical material, and to educate members in all phases of research.
    
• DeSoto Historical Society  
    
• Genealogical Research Society of New Orleans  The Genealogical Research Society of New Orleans was established in 1960 to foster an interest in family research and to encourage preservation of genealogical records in New Orleans, and in Louisiana and the Gulf Coast south.
     
• Morgan City Archives
  Material includes but is not limited to census reels, family files, etc. covering St. Mary Parish, Louisiana  mcaysc@iamerica.net
     
• Terrebonne Genealogical Society  The Terrebonne Genealogical Society (TGS) was formed in 1972 as a part of Terrebonne Parish's sesquicentennial celebration. It was formally organized in 1981, when a constitution was drawn up and the Society incorporated. Since then, the Society has been responsible for numerous publications and has donated thousands of dollars of books and equipment to the Terrebonne Parish Library.
