• Histories, Families and the COHEN and CASSIRER descendants  This is a family history site for several extremely prominent Jewish families – the CASSIRER family which was extremely prominent in Berlin prior to World War II and the COHEN family which became extremely prominent in Australia, and whose lines since the Holocaust have spread across the world. They originated in a small triangle bounded by Schweinfurt, Dessau, Berlin, Schwientochlowitz, and Crakow with Moses ben Israel LAZAURUS (Isserles-Lazarus) (1523) and Don Menachem Chajim HA-KOHEN (1650). The site includes a family tree covering an historical overview tracing the social context within which the families developed.
