Harvard University Graduates Find the names of Harvard Bachelors of Arts Graduates for each year as listed in the 1915  Catalogue of the Officers and Graduates of Harvard University.   Listed here are graduates starting in 1783. 

Daughters of Genius  A Series of Sketches of authors, artists, reformers, and heroines, queens, princesses, and women of society, women eccentric and peculiar was compiled by James Parton and published by Hubbard Brothers, Philadelphia in 1886.  This book contains the biographies of many prominent women of the day.

Confederate Indigent Families Lists (1863-1865)   
On November 24, 1863, the Texas Legislature passed a Joint Resolution stating that the government pledged "support and maintenance of [the soldiers'] families during their absence from home." In accordance with this Resolution, an "Act to Support the Families and Dependents of Texas Soldiers" passed on December 15, 1863.

1843 Directory of the Chicago Illinois 
The 1843 Chicago Directory was republished in 1896.  The Introduction to the directory explained why this was done.  The 1896 version contained additional information about the 1843 residents, including information about the death of 1843 residents who had died.

The purpose of this Index is to assist researchers in locating original or earliest copies of military rolls and lists published transcriptions of military rolls and lists. 

The Index to Republic Claims on Microfilm
The Republic Claims series includes claims for payment, reimbursement, or restitution submitted by citizens to the Republic of Texas government from 1835 through 1846. It also includes files relating to Republic pensions and claims against the Republic submitted as public debt claims after 1846. The records include supporting documents such as vouchers, financial accounts, military records, receipts, notes, or letters.
